Air Cleaners – Surround Yourself with a Pristine Environment

Rest Assured with clean air and a clean bill of health

Everyone likes a clean home and a clean office and with very good reason. It is in our rooms, offices and homes that we find, store and use life’s most quintessential ingredient - the air that we breathe. Taking into account that we have to breathe air every minute of every day, we should also be aware of the quality and cleanliness of that which circulates through our innermost tissues. No other substances come near to having such continual interaction with the deepest recesses of our body.

Air Purifiers can protect the air that we, our loved ones, our co-workers breathe ensuring it is of high quality. Pure air keeps us healthy, and having an efficient air purification appliance that’s making sure the surrounding air is good and clean is a boost to our morale as well as our health.

The Different Types of Air Cleaners

There are several types of air cleaners on the market that operate using different principles and serving different functions. Many air cleaning devices use mechanical filters. A typical example of this is a standard version of the furnace filter. Many of the models would use a HEPA filter. The hepa air filter has become today’s benchmark for comparing air filters, thus the popularity of HEPA air purifiers. Others such as electronic air cleaners catch charged particles using an electro field. Others use negative ion generators, also known as ionizers and ionic air purifiers, to actually charge airborne particles so they fall to ground or get attracted to surfaces such as walls, floors, and draperies. They then can be vacuum cleaned or will need to be wiped away. You can get air-cleaner appliances that incorporate UltraViolet light to actually eradicate harmful airborne micro-organisms. Ozone can also be useful for its powerful sterilizing properties. Some units combine one or more of the techniques to produce even more effective hybrid air cleaning equipment.

Resulting Benefits of an Air Cleaner

All of these machines have the same purpose in common - to purify the air surrounding it. We’ve briefly mentioned the benefits of an air purifier for health but there are also other benefits. As we’ve mentioned, most air cleaners freshen the air by taking out unwanted particles. This means less of them to settle on the solid surfaces in the house. Furthermore, air purifiers can purify your air by significantly reducing tobacco and cigarette smoke together with their associated odors – so irritating to non-smokers.
In an indoor industrial setting, air cleaning apparatuses of some form are virtually essential. In these environments the minute debris released into the air such as construction product dust and chemical particulates are essentially trapped for long periods of time, unless there is a properly functioning ventilation and “bad air” cleaning system to assist with purifying the air.
