Removing the environment of harmful agents

Value of different air purifying systems. Controlling Ozone - Using a thief to catch a thief?

Many organisations, both governmental and non-governmental, warn of the dangers of using an ozone air purifier. They quite rightly state that ozone is a dangerous chemical and can seriously damage your health. Fortunately there are many different types of air purifier systems on the market. The reason for the different types of air cleaners is that they purify the diverse assortment of air pollutants in the different rooms, the bathroom, kitchen or garage, in the most suitable way.

One of the ozone buzz words often quoted is, "Up high is good, down low is bad”. This refers to the fact that ozone is an essential part of the stratosphere where it very effectively filters out the harmful rays from the sun. Whereas down here at ground level, it is a dangerous gas.

Ozone - care needed for living with chemicals

Many of the standard products within our society do still contain potentially dangerous chemicals that we have all come to use safely. Rather like acid in a car battery, you need to be informed that it is not a liquid to drink. That is something we need to learn about as a part of gneral knowledge. The important aspect is containing and utilising the dangerous chemical. That is why we buy products from well-known manufacturers, knowing that they have overcome any potential dangers. We often find the more effective chemicals can be potentially hazardous. Ozone is dangerous even in small quantities, so we need to be aware and use it carefully.

Poor Indoor Air Quality in high-insulation buildings

The issues regarding the usefulness of air purifying products in modern, well insulated buildings is now getting known. We just need to be properly informed to understand better. Governmental and independent agencies prefer to stand on safe ground; ozone air cleaning companies prefer that we buy their product and could mislead by avoiding important issues.

Automatic ozone cut-off safety device

Ozone air cleaner manufacturers are aware of the potential hazard caused by not following their appliance instructions. For instance, careless misuse of ozone cleaning apparatus could result in a build up of ozone in your room. Some manufacturers take care to include an automatic cut-off timer as a safety device. This turns the ozone production off after a predetermined time, so that the ozone producing element does not remain on continuously. For instance, when you go out or on going to bed, you can turn on your ozone air cleaner in your living-room, say, for an hour or two to remove any build up of the odors from daily living or after a party.
